Ask for John!!!! After reading the reviews, I was not going to use this law firm for a family members case. What changed my mind was seeing John Somohano in action. I was in the courtroom for a separate incident and was impressed by Johns work. He saved this young man from being remanded to the county jail when the judge was SET on it. I was surprised to find out after getting his info that he was associated with this firm. We are just getting started with my family members case but John is great so far. Once everything is done I will be back to review my overall experience. 4 Stars for now....
I dealt with John Sommohanno and he was awesome! Extremely knowledgeable, kind, gets to you fast and pricing is extremely reasonable. He gives also great advice and helped my husband and my self with multiple fines from Paterson and prospect Park and was able to get me great results at court when he represented us. Thank you John!
Jose handled my divorce which was an easy divorce no assets and no kids. It was a slam dunk case......Jose comes off as very trustworthy and caring. The person you meet in the begging changes and his services can be considered negligent and unethical ......for starters he will charge a full hour of services for a 10 min conversation and for one paragraph letters By the time you realize what is happening.....it's too late to make change and he will take full advantage and use it as leverage to get more money out of you . Jose also did not have the decency to show up on the day of my divorce instead he sent a substitute lawyer and he never followed up with me about his no show presence...After my divorce I felt that he should have returned the extra money in my retainer and I began to ask for receipts of the last half of my divorce.....he never return my phone calls or provided me with the receipts ......I was charged about 10,000 dollars for something that should been about 2,500 .....I can only imagine what he does in cases when children are involved if you have money to burn than higher this sales person
Also just yesterday he represented one of my family members in a case in the Paterson court. Turns out that the case my family member had did not require an attorney. Frank called me and his honesty touched my heart. An attorney was no needed and he was honest to the point of giving me a refund. Honestly these days it is a rare trait. He will by my family attorney for as long as he is working! Thank you Frank Soto for everything and for being an EXCELLENT ATTORNEY! !!!!

I have repeatedly used this firm over the past 10 years. They are highly professional, experienced and knowledgeable. They return calls promptly and always keep you apprised of the situation. Reading some of the negative reviews here I wonder if people know what it's like to hire a lawyer and be represented.
